Fire Chief
George Chambers
Beginning his fire service career in the United States Air Force in 1974 as a Fire Protection Specialist, Chief George Chambers III began his full-time career at Manchester Fire Rescue in 2015. He retired from the military as a CMSgt in 2004 after 30 years of service where he had several deployments to Saudi Arabia, Spain, and Afghanistan during operations for Desert Storm, Southern Watch, and Iraqi Freedom. He served as Assistant Chief at Arnold Air Force Base from years 2004 to 2010 and then served as Fire Chief in Afghanistan from 2010 to 2012. He currently holds Fire Officer IV and Inspector certifications. Chief George Chambers III is tasked with several different administrative duties including the development of the yearly budget, compliance with ISO ratings, and management of the entire department.
Deputy Chief
Roger Chambers
Beginning his fire service career in 1993 with Manchester Fire Rescue, Deputy Chief Roger Chambers has worked his way through the ranks serving as Firefighter, Crew Chief, Shift Captain, and Administrative Captain. He currently holds Fire Officer II and Safety Officer Certification. Deputy Chief Roger Chambers duties include operational leadership by managing the day-to-day operations of fire personnel. He is also tasked with operational purchasing and implementing adaptive changes for a more efficient department to better serve the citizens of Manchester.
