Fire Marshal
Jeremy Woods
Beginning his fire service career in 1998 with Manchester Fire Rescue, Captain Woods is the Fire Marshal for the City of Manchester. He is a member of the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI), National Association of Fire Investigators (NAFI), and the International Code Council (ICC). He currently serves as the President of the Tennessee Advisory Committee on Arson (TACA). He holds State Fire Inspector and Fire Investigator certifications. Captain Woods is tasked with conducting fire inspections in businesses and school to maintain compliance with all fire codes. He works closely with the Codes department to ensure the safety and compliance of all commercial property. He is also tasked with conducting all City fire investigations to determine origin and cause while working closely with local, state, and federal authorities through the duration of investigations.
