Overview

The Manchester Fire and Rescue Department takes great pride in protecting life and property as they serve the citizens of Manchester. The Department's work and dedication was recognized when they received an Award of Excellence in Fire Service from the Tennessee Municipal League in June 2002. They have also received the Life Safety Achievement Award for the past three years.

For the City of Manchester residents, you need to call 728-2999 and provide the following information to the Fire Department: -Name, Phone Number, Address and what you are burning. Remember you cannot burn leaves or trash in the City of Manchester only natural wood products, tree limbs etc. For County Residents with a Manchester address you can either call the State Division of Forestry at 877-350-2876 or go to their website (www.burnsafetn.org) if you have a smart phone or computer to obtain your burn permit in the county.

Contact Manchester Fire-Rescue at 931-728-2999 and schedule an appointment to have some installed in your home. They are free of charge to residents of Manchester.
