Overview

Welcome to the Manchester Parks and Recreation Department. Our mission is to provide affordable quality programs and facilities to all individuals and families within our community. The Manchester Parks and Recreation Department contains 104 acres of park land. We also have a 69,000 square foot indoor recreation center containing two indoor pools, an outdoor leisure pool, racquetball courts, wellness room, spin room, youth wellness room, aerobics room, gymnasium, walking track, and casual care nursery.

How do you rent picnic shelters, pools, Ada Wright Building or other park facilities?

Rental rates and procedures are on the City Of Manchester website under Recreation and can be done online. However, most people find calling us is the best way to find out available dates and other questions. Our telephone number for our reservation desk is 931-728-4652 Option 6.

What are your pool hours?

Our pool hours are posted on this aquatics page. We also maintain a Facebook page with the most up to date news and changes at Manchester Parks and Recreation. Also, you can call our front desk at 931-728-4652 Option 6.

What hours and days are the Recreation Complex open?

Monday through Thursday, 5:00am-8:00pm, Friday 5:00am-6:00pm, Saturdays 7:30am-5:00pm, and Sundays 12:00-5:00pm. Please check our Facebook page at Manchester Parks and Recreation Tennessee to see any changes to the schedule or call 931-728-4652 Option 6

Does the Parks and Recreation Department accept credit cards?

There is a 4% surcharge on all credit and debit card transactions. Starting July 14, 2026, there will be a 4% platform fee added to transactions processed online through the Rec+ portal in addition to the 4% surcharge on credit and debit card transactions

Does the Parks and Recreation Department offer discounts or Financial Aid?

Yes. We offer an Active Military discount and proof of service must be provided. Financial Aid can be approved for a 50% reduction on fees if the individual or household meets the financial aid criteria. To apply, fill out an application form at the Recreation Complex.

Is there a public pool for lap swimming in Manchester?
